Alexa is a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for supporting individuals navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, and perinatal mental health challenges. She is committed to providing a compassionate, client-centered approach that fosters self-awareness, autonomy, and healing.
With specialized training in eating disorders, Alexa utilizes a Health at Every Size (HAES) and weight-inclusive framework to help clients develop a more balanced and fulfilling relationship with food and their bodies. She understands the complex emotional and psychological factors that contribute to disordered eating and works collaboratively with clients to build sustainable, long-term healing.
Alexa is also actively pursuing certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and has a special interest in supporting new and experienced mothers through the unique emotional and psychological transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. She recognizes the strong link between eating disorders and perinatal mood disorders and takes a holistic approach to treatment, helping clients navigate these challenges with compassion, empowerment, and self-compassion.
Her clinical experience also includes working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. She prioritizes creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported in their journey toward healing.
Alexa believes in the power of authentic connection and reflective listening, using a strengths-based approach to help clients uncover their resilience and build confidence in themselves. She is passionate about guiding individuals toward greater self-acceptance, emotional well-being, and a sense of balance in their lives.
